I noticed on my last post I had a spelling mistake in my billboard design. So this 

post displays my final and improved design.

Further development for original designs

After more thought, I decided to produce a sort of timeline descending from modern day 

technology news producing software and hardware. Above demonstrates the basic idea behind

my timeline billboard. However I felt the bright green enabled the billboard to stand out however 

is to much. The billboard also seems overly crowded so I'll work out on the layout and other 

design features to ensure a professional and elegant finish for my billboard. 

First Billboard Designs

With my brand name, '(Loughton)Herald' in place, I thought about the different meanings of the word. My top 2 images display the idea of time. With a herald historically announcing news to the town from the king. I thought about the difference in time, from then to now, the first image is a paradox of the image and the slogan suggesting that no matter the time, we'll get the news to you first.   When originally thinking of this time concept, I realised that a triumph herald was in it's day a very fast and modern car which explains my 3rd image. However I've tried to play back on the word herald with trumpet however I don't feel this is enough of a recognisable car for this purpose. And finally still sticking to this concept with time, here demonstrates the time difference of ripening fruit however I also feel this isn't a strong enough link for my newspaper. I decided to follow through with the time concept but with the rock and herald announcer in mind, I work on the designs. 

Advertising Campaign Awards

With my billboard design in mind, I decided to research into advertising campaign awards, I looked at 'Creativity International Awards' (http://www.creativityawards.com/42a_billboards_single_unit.php). They present the best advertising campaigns a list the winners, 2012 winner went to MTV for there advert for their new program. Displayed below, I feel this was the winner for their intuitive combustion of three different billboards and the building it's self. However typically newspaper's take a different approach with their audience in mind.

Billboard Dimensions

When preparing for my Billboard, I've researched into the dimensions. According to 'Spaceoutdoor    (http://www.spaceoutdooradvertising.co.uk/billboard-spec.html) the billboard information is demonstrated below.

Below 'space outdoor' have presented an example of the size a 48 sheet billboard.
